4 Years in Blogging

My first ever blog post was actually on 12 April 2005. It was sort of I-have-nothing-to-lose try out which has been continued ever since. I’m not going to put a link to the post, but for those of you that got really really interested in reading it (note: it’s in Bahasa Indonesia) I’m sure you will be able to find it yourself without too much effort.

My first self-proclaimed official blogging day was started on 17 May 2005 at Blogger. I’d write anything about practically almost everything happening around me. It’s much like Twitter, only longer. My wife says that I was much funnier back then. Really.

Skip it to today, a lot has happened. I am changing and so do the blog and the reader (yeah, that’s you).

With the rise of Facebook and Twitter, I know I will continue this old and battered blog. I believe there are still things to write in more than 140 characters. I hope I can make it into the future, into the generation of my (still not born yet) child. Time will tell.

I also hope that I can write more. I know you probably got bored with all the asides posts and quotes. Me too. Let me prepare some more interviews, featuring more good photographers, and write (hopefully) interesting stuffs.

Oh, I forgot. I also hope I can take more pictures. Get more films. Go out some more. Edit my pictures. Pursue my own personal project. And actually finish one or more of them.

Now, let me ask you what do you like the most of this blog? And what would you like to see more here? Do you like the design? Got anything to say? Every feelings, thoughts, and opinions matter to me and I will really appreciate it.

Okay, let me blow the candles and celebrate. Cheers!

UPDATE:

Karolus Naga wants to see more of my pictures, especially the unfinished projects I’m working on.
I’m still working on it, I don’t know when they will be finished but it will, someday. Thanks!

Vanez wants to view this blog on a mobile browser she suggests wp-touch plugin.
Nice idea. I have thought about it for a while but have never put enough time to actually do it. Thanks!

Mario thinks my asides posts as “another part of the discovery process and how it works with the connectivity we all share that is the internet.”
This blog is where I put some of the interesting things I found while browsing through the internet so that I won’t forget. Perhaps I will put more stuffs here which usually goes unpublished. Thanks!

Peyo says “I like bits of everything you have at your blog.” and she thinks “Maybe wifey can write some posts and put the funny back to your blog.”
Interesting idea, thanks!. I’ve never thought about guest writers here before. It could be my wife or anybody. While I won’t make this public (yet) I’m open if some of you want to publish your writings or your pictures and projects or help me do some interviews.

Hehe… So I’m not alone in having the wife tell me how I was funnier before.

And yes, do continue with the stuff you do. Personally, I don’t mind if some stuff you posted came off another person’s site. I just view this as another part of the discovery process and how it works with the connectivity we all share that is the internet. To quote from another post of yours courtesy of Joerg Colberg: “Somebody will always find something that you have never thought about…” He may have had art in mind, but the gist of his statement can be applied to everything we do…

Hey, a big congrats to you!

I like bits of everything you have at your blog. The interviews with your favorite photographers are plenty of fun. Your pictures of course! And the awesome dawesome links – they’re especially handy if I need things to read – which is probably every M-F 8:00-16:00 ;)

Maybe wifey can write some posts and put the funny back to your blog.

Cheers!
