Thanks to maggot who invited me, I have my first group exhibition of town cats (machi neko) 公開グループ展 『町猫』.
Yes, it’s all about cats, stray cats or town cats (machi neko) to be exact. Yes, it’s in Japan, in Osaka to be precise. No, I didn’t go there I just send the files. Yes, I was and still am very excited about this. You can see my photos on the last photo on the left wall.
All I have to do was photographed a lot of street cats, published it somewhere (in my case on Flickr), get some attention, get invited, send some files, and got my pictures exhibited – most of the actions were done from my bedroom – the magic of the world wild wide web.
I’ve never met the person (Kazunori Ohki a.k.a. maggot) and never been there (Osaka) – yet this is happening, again thanks to the www.
It is also feel weird to see my own pictures printed (I rarely print my photos) and hanged on a gallery’s wall.
Anyway, I am grateful and happy to be part of this exhibition.
